Goals

The intention of this game is to bring awareness about the health effects and consequences of eating fast food. This is accomplished by alloting a player a "caloric budget" based on the players own height, weight, age, activity level, and gender. The player can then go through a day "eating" at fast food restaurants to see how they're caloric budget, fat intake, and cholesterol intake are effected. At the end of the game, the player is evaluated on their food choices and the impact this has on their health in both a short and long term context.

Extra Details

The game is located on the Ohio University Sim. To play, please click on the map button on the bottom right hand corner of the screen and search for Ohio University in the search box to the right. Select Ohio University from the search results and click the button that says "teleport" underneath the search results box. Once there, go to the coordinates 188, 176, 27. You will see signs to direct you from there.

Two test avatars have been made for use in judging to save time setting up accounts. Please see the emailed submission form or email tc273702@ohio.edu to obtain the login IDs and passwords. Both test avatars have been placed in the game area on the Ohio University sim and should not need to teleport.

To play the game more quickly, choose to use the avatar statistics at the beginning of the game. Although the game will not personalized, this will allow you to bypass the setup to see how the game play works more quickly.
